Normcore is a unisex fashion trend characterized by unpretentious, normal-looking clothing. Normcore is a portmanteau of the words “normal” and “hardcore”. -Wiki

More than months ago, “normcore” became one of the biggest trends of today’s fashion. Never did I thought that I would also pull it off. Normcore is a tricky style that is very hard to master. It doesn’t simply mean throwing basic pieces together, or pulling off the usual black & white trend; it’s pairing perfect pieces together and mixing items with your usual assortment (so you won’t look that normal). An accurate selection lies behind dressing easy, making ordinary looks extraordinary. Always remember that embracing normcore fashion is all about being comfortable. As they may always say… “if it no longer looks effortless, it’s no longer normcore.”
I wore something normcore last Christmas, completing it with another latest trend, the puffer jacket! Honestly speaking, two winters ago, I don’t really see myself wearing a puffer jacket because it’s not just really my thing; I even considered it as a no-no, but I see the trend all over the internet and out of curiosity, I bought myself one. Forgive me, but I just have to admit that I have fallen in love with it. It’s very comfortable and may become my go-to jacket from now on. It’s undeniably cozy, sleek and androgyny. On the other hand, fishnets made a comeback before this year ends – one of the most interesting accessories ever since. They can add a fashion-forward edge to your outfit keeping the grunge vibes strong. I kept mine under my cropped pants – peeking through the hem of my jeans (that I DIY-ed).
Afraid that I might be a little overwhelmed wearing all these trends in one, I still tried to slay it off! Is it a yay or nay? Happy Holidays everyone!
Looks great. Happy New Year
Happy New Year as well!
